*screams* They did it! They finally did it! Darn them all to heck!!!!

*calms down* Hmm....not sure where that came from. Anyway, I guess it's been coming for awhile. I happen to think the newest My Little Pony show is fun and rather sweetly innocent (which is why I'm staying away from the fanbase *shudders* ) Plus, the Stephen Sondheim references in the music amuse me very much. The designs are incredibly pleasing, and I love the voice work, especially that of Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie and Rarity, but I really love them all. It's just a lot of fun to watch!

This has probably been done before, but I still wanted to do the Gundam Wing guys in pony form, mostly because I knew it would irritate them XD I made them all pegasi, because wings seem to fit with the whole gundam pilot thing. I also kept their eyes somewhat the same as in the anime, because changing the eyes too much just didn't look like them anymore. I think I found a reasonable balance between Lauren Faust's pony designs and the anime GW style. I hope....

Now, onto the color choices and symbolism.... You will notice that the colors are basically the same as the gargoyle versions I did several months ago. I kind of wanted to be different this time, but....meh. If the colors work so well, why mess with them? I did give Duo a red outline, though, which I thought might be fun XD Their cutie marks are representative of their personalities/talents, not just visual indicators. Like, I put WAY too much thought into this. Seriously.

Trowa's is the clown mask, but that's perfect for him, not just because he ends up in the profession of a clown, but because he is a genius at hiding himself, not just from outsiders, but even his true self from his friends.

Duo, of course, has the scythe (Deathscythe, FTW! ) This represents not just his self-appointed persona as the God of Death, but also his talent for protecting others by taking up arms, and being silent but deadly about it (after all, what's more silent and deadly than Death? )

Quatre's was a bit harder...I almost gave him a violin, but then I thought about it, and his most powerful talent is as a leader and in uniting others. Therefore, I gave him a five-jewel design, the four others representing his four pilot friends, joining around the purple jewel that represents himself (it's purple, the color of royalty....Desert Prince...heh. Also, didn't want to put a white jewel on a white background. ) You'll notice a kind of star motif behind that, which references his Space Heart, (or whatever you want to call it) , and the fact that he and the others are from the colonies in outer space. I also made him a flying unicorn because, having made them all pegasi, I realized that Quatre's empathic power would probably manifest as unicorn magic. So...yeah...he's a flying unicorn. He's still way WAY less powerful than Celestia and Luna, the only other flying unicorns in the series, but I imagine they wouldn't be the ONLY ones. I'm just waiting to see more of them in the future, because I think it would be awesomesauce :D

Heero has another cutie mark that would be confusing to the ponies of Equestria. (They'd be baffled by Duo's, too) . Yes, I gave him a gun. A gun cutie mark.
Pinkie Pie: Hey! what's that on your cutie mark?
Heero: It's a gun.
Pinkie Pie: *confused* What's a gun?
Heero: It's a weapon.
Pinkie Pie: Ohhhhh! ....................... What's a weapon?
Yeah, prepare for pony brains to explode. Anyhoo, you'll also notice that I put feathers behind the gun, and the fact that they're *behind* has a reason; the gun shows his skills in battle, and in protecting others, but the feathers represent the goodness and caring behind his cold exterior. Another dual-personality thing, like Trowa's mask.

Wufei's is a dragon (which I would love to have as my cute mark! ) Obviously, since he belongs to the long clan (which is "dragon" clan in English) the dragon represents the fact that he's carrying on his family legacy, being the only one of them left. Also, it's red, the color of good fortune and blessings in Chinese culture. (If I'm wrong, let me know. I'm not Chinese! ) I had to try and make it look like an Asian dragon, when all I had to go from in the show was the river serpent they met in episode 2. I think it works ok, though.

I think that's enough wall-of-useless-explanation for now. Thanks for being so patient! This was my Sunday afternoon fun.

Oh, and thanks :iconboxdrink: for the use of your cloud vectors. It saved me time and effort, and I like the way they look!

I'm done now. Back to working on actually important stuff!

Wufei's dragon looks like Mushu. I love these, I'm having to look at all your Gundam Ponies. Awesome work! :D
