Description
Part 1 of a commission for 
of gundam meisters Lockon Stratos, Allelujah Haptism and Setsuna Seiei from Gundam 00. wanted designs of them as ponies, and also with gundam armor.
We decided something closer to body armor, rather than actual gundams, would work better. The design of the gundam armor was interesting as each had to be modified not only to be body armor, but to fit pony anatomy. The armor also enhances the special strengths of each type of pony: earth, unicorn, pegasus, and alicorn. Pegasi and alicorns use their own wings to fly. Given the way their flight capabilities are set up (being able to pull carts and such in the air without anything more than their wings to hold them up) using their own wings, even with the weight of gundam armor, would be the better choice. Earth ponies and unicorns have to use jet propulsion (or levitation, if they're powerful enough, though doing that AND fighting is almost always far too taxing) . Of course, unicorns and alicorns have their magic, and earth ponies have greater strength and stamina. Weapons also had to be modified somewhat. Rifles, for instance, hook onto the front hoof parts of the armor and are fired by the same tactile magic that allows ponies to pick things up without fingers. They can also use magic, if they have it.
On a minor note, I had to integrate Lockon's Haro, somehow, so I placed it as a movable piece in his chest plate.
As for the ponies themselves, they're all from the first season, so no missing eyes and upgraded gundam armor. I already had Setsuna's design, but Lockon and Allelujah were new to me. (The second part of this commission will be with Tierie Erde and Fon Spaak; I didn't want to try and cram all five on here) . Setsuna's cutie mark is a gundam head because "I AM GUNDAM!" Lockon's is a target, of course, because he's a ridiculously good marksman. Allelujah's is supposed to show his dual nature, like his two different-colored eyes, that show which side is in control. The silver is his kind and gentle persona, the gold is the calculating, uncaring survivor which sometimes comes out when his life is in danger. I made his gold eye prominent in his gundam armor to show the difference.
