:iconthumbsupplz: Beautiful!

Please please please.. May I discuss LOTR trivia for a bit?

After the Ring was destroyed and Sauron defeated.. Aragorn, newly crowned as King Elessar, knighted Pippin. Merry who was knighted by King Éomer of Rohan as a Knight of the Mark for

Back in the Shire, they were instrumental in overthrowing Saruman's forces during the "Scouring of the Shire", and thus achieved much greater fame in their homeland than Frodo and Sam.

Pippin and Merry had became the tallest of Hobbits (because they drank Treebeard's "Ent-draught").. They were even taller than Bullroarer Took, who could ride a horse. (He's the hobbit who led the defense against the Orcs, led by the goblin Golfimbul, at the Battle of Greenfields. Bullroarer knocked Golfimbul's head off with his club, it flew through the air and landed a rabbit hole a hundred yards away, winning the battle and inventing the sport Golf)

Both Hobbits got married. Pippin married Diamond of Long Cleeve. They had one son, Faramir (he married Sam Gamgee's daughter Goldilocks). Merry married Estella Bolger (we do not know if they had children?)

Merry inherited the title Master of Buckland in year 11 of the Fourth Age. (the fall of Sauron began the Forth Age, "F.A.", of Middle Earth) .

In F.A. 13, Pippin inherited his father's title and became 32nd Thain (the traditional military leader) of the Shire. He held this position for 51 years.

In F.A. 63, Pippin retired and Merry stepped down as Master of Buckland.

In F.A. 64, Merry at the age of 102, and Pippin at the age 94, traveled back to Rohan, and then to Gondor. They both died in Gondor several years later. Their bodies were laid in Rath Dínen. (the Tombs of Kings and the pathway between the city of Minas Tirith and Mindolluin in Gondor)

In F.A. 120, Aragorn, King of Gondor died. Both hobbits were laid beside him.

What I love about this bit of the Lord of the Ring story (and your deviation).. Merry and Pippin are still together to this very day!

btw.. SapphireGamgee.. Are you a descendant of Sam?

Don't you just love all the extra info in the Appendices? :D :D I love not only that Merry and Pippin remained bffs forever, but that Sam got to go over the sea to be with Frodo. Bromance ftw!

And I might be ;) (I'm practically a hobbit XD )
