Description
Dance of the Reed Flutes is the French dance in the second half of the Nutcracker. I chose these three for various reasons- Belle because she's French, Aurora because she could very well be French, and Trowa because he plays the flute (and no one knows his actual origins) . Their costume designs (like all of the designs in this series) are by me. I chose a shepherd/shepherdess motif because shepherds play flutes. Apparently.
Belle is from Beauty and the Beast, Trowa Barton is from Gundam Wing, and Aurora is from Sleeping beauty.

Very cool. You know, you could have chosen Cinderella for this one instead of Aurora because she is definitely French. Although the film just says she lived "in a far away land," the original story was French and Disney kept all the French elements in the film; her surname is Tremaine, she lives in a chateau, the animals have names like Phillipe, Jacque, etc.
Just sayin'.
