Finally, finally finished this thing, which I started...a year ago? Summat like. I've been working on this picture a tiny bit at a time in-between jobs and commissions and stuff. Anyway, I finished some other things today and decided to just knock off the last bits of this thing before bed. It's been burning a hole on my desktop for long enough!
This whole long thing is my idea of what the different princesses are like when they first wake up. Some of them are morning people, some aren't. Some of them wake up needing very little upkeep, while others have lots of brow-plucking to do. Regarding some of their looks, the timelines are fudged for the sake of jokes. Rapunzel has her crazy hair and Anna doesn't have the white stripe in hers. A few of them brought their animals friends/snow golems along. Also, they're all roommates sharing a bathroom. (Kind of a continuation of my old Princess Prep idea) . I haven't decided if they have two sinks or four, but 16 seemed right out, so, no, they don't get their own sinks. We're looking at them from the mirror's perspective.
NOTE: I started this before Moana ever came out, so she didn't end up in the final (I didn't include Merida because she would have been the odd woman out, but having Moana would have solved that... oh well ) . Both will likely be in future stuff. (There are others I probably won't include for the sake of my own sanity, since the whole thing would become immensely bloated otherwise. )
NOTE THE SECOND: I am using the broadest application of the term "princess" here so, yes, I am aware that technically Esmeralda and Mulan etc. aren't "princesses" as such. They all count as Disney heroines, with or without the title. However, my original idea for Princess Prep (and all the girls being roomies in the first place) was a school where all the Disney heroines would be sent to improve their skills for leadership in their respective spheres. All of them are called on to be leaders in their communities, with or without a hereditary royal title. They have proven themselves to varying points. Every girl is a "princess", but it's an earned appellation.
