Strawberry

The only member of Cowslip's Warren that joins Hazel and his group in their journey to Watership Down. Initially, though very kind and helpful in showing Hazel around, he follows the same strict rule as the rest of his warren in not answering too many questions, especially if those questions begin with the word "where..?" It isn't until his own beloved mate, Nildro-hain, is killed in a snare, that he joins with Hazel. At first, the others are mistrustful of him for playing a role in deceiving them, but they soon come to like and rely on him. It's through Strawberry's help that Hazel and the others know how to build a huge central meeting-room at Watership Down, one of the only things Hazel liked about Cowslip's warren.
